The Blood Service has developed a Transfusion Orientation Pack to promote safe transfusion practice and deliver education and training materials to JMOs.

A series of transfusion education tools were developed based on the Transfusion Education Focus Group outcomes conducted with JMOs, and include: Transfusion cards (Blood Prescribing Card, Acute Transfusion Reactions Card and Warfarin Reversal Card), Transfusion Checklist, Transfusion Overview Infographic. The tools can be accessed here.

The pilot commenced Monday 9 January 2017 and will finish Tuesday 28 February 2017.
