For the first time, we're throwing the doors open - at least the virtual ones - to what has previously been an invitation-only face-to-face meeting.

The 16th National Strategic Blood Forum was attended by around 300 people and hosted by Australian Red Cross Lifeblood on 31 March 2021.

In previous years, the forum has been attended by representatives from a broad range of clinical professional groups, state/territory health departments, Department of Health and Ageing, National Blood Authority, Therapeutic Goods Administration and Lifeblood.

This year’s virtual event provided the unique opportunity to bring a range of stakeholders within the Australian blood sector together to share their perspectives on important issues.

Presentations from Lifeblood's very own experts and others include ‘COVID-19 and its implications for the Australian blood supply’, ‘Blood where and when you need it’, panel discussions and much more.
